Get Up and Don't Be Afraid

On the mountaintop, Peter wanted to build a dwelling for the holy moment, but God built something new in him with a single voice. “This is my Beloved… listen to him.” In that shining cloud, words became light, fear became awe, and ordinary disciples were forever altered. We, too, stand within the reach of that voice. When God speaks, we are not merely informed; we are transfigured, drawn down the mountain, changed, carrying heaven’s glow into the waiting world.
