Plans just sometimes have to be changed and that is what has happened to the Harvesters tour of The Van Wezel planned for June. Due to renovations at the venue, tours are not being held for a couple of months.

Not lacking for places of inspiration and beauty in the Bradenton/Sarasota area, the Harvesters gathering for June has now become a day at the Ringling Museum. The date for the visit is Tuesday, June 28th.

The Ringling day will begin with a 9:30 AM arrival at the museum. Carpooling will be arranged from Harvest.

You will have a full day to explore as much (or as little) of the Ringling complex as you desire. Included with your cost for the day is admission to:

The Museum of Art where you can wander through 31 galleries filled with treasures: old masters, contemporary art and exhibitions from around the world.

The Circus Museum where you can discover the rich history, fun and fanfare of the American circus.

Ca’d’Zan where John and Mabel Ringling made their home. This 56-room mansion on Sarasota Bay stands as a testament to the American dream of the Roaring Twenties.

Bayfront Gardens which includes 66 beautiful acres and shows that not all of the beauty of the estate is confined to the galleries.

In the morning the Harvesters will start by touring the Circus Museum. Following the visit to the Circus Museum there will be a docent-led tour of Ca’d’Zan’s first and second floors.

Lunch will be at The Muse restaurant at the Ringling Visitor’s Center. The cost of lunch will be on your own.

The afternoon is free for the Harvesters to explore the Art Museum with a self-guided tour or one of the scheduled public tours, stroll the Bayfront Gardens, explore the Visitor’s Center or just sit on the veranda of Ca’d’Zan and enjoy the view of Sarasota Bay.
