Enroll your rising Kindergarten (finished VPK) to rising 5th (finished 4th) today in the Harvest Kids Summer Camp! Campers can be enrolled for one week or all 10 weeks (May 30th-August 4th), whatever fits your schedule. Harvest Kids Summer Camp is a full day program running Monday through Friday from 8:30 AM to 4:30 PM.
Each week’s program has been designed around different themes, so campers experience something new and exciting while learning and having fun. Trained adult lead teachers, volunteer counselors, and notable experts, will lead campers throughout each day’s activities. At the end of each week, we celebrate campers and their accomplishments with FUN FRIDAYS, which includes a pizza party.
Week 1 Blast Off Into Summer! - May 30th - June 2nd
BLASTOFF into a summer with a space-theme science camp where students will be guided in science activities that pertain to a subject in STEAM alongside their fellow peers. The week will include a special guest speaker who will share his involvement in astronomy.
Week 2: LEGO® Week - June 5th - 9th
Whether your child is an expert or never worked with LEGO® , this camp is for them! We provide experience-based STEAM education programs to introduce kids to the principle of science, technology, engineering, art and math (STEAM) using LEGO® Bricks. Campers will follow the STEAM model as they engage in different themed activities, including STEAM games/challenges.
Week 3: World of Sports - June 12th - 16th
This week we will introduce campers to the world of sports with a focus on cooperation, Integrity, leadership and teamwork. Campers will participate in a variety of sports and games that may include volleyball, basketball, soccer, wile ball, kickball, capture the flag, and more! *Outside sports vendors will be joining us to provide equipment and host games appropriate to our camper’s skill level and age.
Week 4: Kindness Counts/Community Helpers - June 19th - 23rd
This week campers will have opportunities to practice mindfulness, work through collaborative team building activities, and explore how thoughtfulness helps create a kind, compassionate community. Each day we’ll welcome different community partners who will share their dedication to spreading kindness and serving others through their job or nonprofit organization (humans and our furry friends will be joining us!).
Week 5: Vacation Bible School, Ready, Set, Move - June 26th - 30th
We are celebrating Vacation Bible School (VBS) and God's love for everyone this week. The program, “Ready, Set, Move!”, helps kids follow Jesus Here, There, & Everywhere. Kids are introduced to God’s love, the life-changing message of Jesus, and how they fit into the ongoing story God is telling in the world. Kids will MOVE with great lessons! Volunteers will MOVE with strategic small group discussion! Parents will MOVE with daily take-home resources. We can’t wait to see where they will go as they follow where Jesus leads them this summer.
Week 6: Red, White, and Blue - July 5th - 7th
While this week is short, your camper won’t want to miss this exciting week celebrating the biggest summer event around the USA–the 4th of July! We’ll keep the excitement of the holiday going for three extra days with our red, white, and blue themed activities, crafts, games, and special treats!
Week 7: Clowning Around -July 10th - 14th
The focus this week is all about laughter, creativity, and having FUN! Clowning Around camp will teach campers there is a lot more to circus performers than bright costumes and colorful makeup–it takes a lot of skill, athleticism, and determination to perform. This week campers will be immersed in the world of circus performing to end the week under the big top sharing their unique talents and games for all to share!
Week 8: Super Inventors - July 17th - 21st
Do you have a curious, creative camper? For Super Inventors camp, your camper will be introduced to world-changing inventors and their contributions in the field of science, technology, and math. We will encourage curiosity and creative thinking through individual and collaborative activities. The week will end with a special showcase featuring their creations. It is a week they will be talking about for weeks on end!
Week 9: Animal Planet - July 24th - 28th
Campers, get ready to sing with the forest animals and make your own binoculars as you set out to explore animals that inhabit different regions around the world! It is a week filled with wild animal games, activities, art, and a very special guest who will give campers an up close animal encounter. It is a week your child won’t want to miss!
Week 10: Aloha, Summer! = July 31- Aug. 4th
Before we say “aloha” to Harvest Kids Summer Camp, we’ll spend this final week traveling to the tropical islands of Hawaii where campers will balance on a surfboard, practice their limbo and hula hooping skills, build sandcastles, harvest milk from a coconut, experience a volcano eruption, perfect their hula dancing, and much more! Bring your flower lei and beach ball, and join us as we say, “Aloha, summer!”
Cost: Ranges from $130 to $250 a week and there is a one-time, non-refundable registration fee of $50 per child due at time of enrollment (waived for all former Just Grow VPK families). Included in the $250 fee is a camp t-shirt, snack, water. Pack your campers favorite lunch Monday through Thursday. FUN FRIDAYS include pizza for lunch. Adult Camp Counselors
If you love to be around elementary age kids, then serving as a volunteer at this year’s Harvest Kids Camp is where you will want to be! So, there is consistency for the campers, we are asking adults to commit to at least 5 full consecutive days (M-F, 8:30-4:30). Junior Camp Counselors
If you are looking for a rewarding, FUN volunteer opportunity for your middle school/high school kids this summer, you'll want to add Harvest Kids Summer Camp (10 weeks from May 30th-August 4th (M-F, 8:30-4:30). to your list.
- For consideration, junior camp counselors must commit to a minimum of two weeks.
- The camp will consist of engaging weekly themes with SMALL groups of 13 kids, ranging from ages 5-10 with an adult lead teacher and up to two junior camp counselors.
- Junior camp counselors will be provided camp t-shirts, snacks and drinks daily, free pizza on Friday, and the opportunity to participate in yoga, dance, art, drama, sports, Fun Friday activities, and much more on our beautiful campus in Lakewood Ranch.
- Junior camp counselors will receive volunteer service hours!
